Forbes names BriteCo tops among best jewelry insurance companies in 2023

Forbes Advisor recently evaluated several stand-alone jewelry insurance providers to recommend to readers the best jewelry insurance for 2024.

BriteCo jewelry and watch insurance scored a 5-star out of 5 rating to be named “Best Jewelry Insurance for Replacement Value.”

Citing BriteCo’s outstanding coverage, Forbes said jewelry owners will appreciate the 125% replacement value coverage when making a claim. That extra coverage combined with zero deductibles on all its standard policies means that a BriteCo customer should eliminate any out-of-pocket costs to get a full replacement.

Forbes noted that BriteCo policy coverage is automatically updated every year to reflect value changes in market prices so there’s no need to get an item reappraised. In addition, BriteCo offers a convenient monthly pay option or a discount for paying annually, with policies as low as $5 a month for a $5,000 engagement ring depending on where you live.

Forbes focused on stand-alone jewelry insurance because most standard homeowners insurance policies limit coverage to $1,000 to $2,000 for theft, and the personal property portion of a home insurance policy and therefore may not be sufficient to cover replacing higher-value jewelry. In addition, a jewelry claim on a homeowners or renters policy could impact its premium or renewal status whereas BriteCo does not report claims to third parties used by most insurance companies to track a consumer’s risk.

Consumers can get superior jewelry insurance coverage at an affordable price in a matter of minutes by getting a no-obligation custom policy quote at https://brite.co/.
