Once you get your quote, you answer a few questions, choose how you want to pay, upload a photo of your item and value documentation and you’re insured. BriteCo makes it simple, easy and convenient to get outstanding coverage of your prized possessions in only a few minutes.
＋ How is BriteCo’s policy different from other insurance companies?
BriteCo offers a specialized replacement only jewelry insurance policy designed specifically for people who want to protect their most prized jewelry and watch possessions hassle free. That means if something happens to your jewelry item, we will fix or replace it, working with your local jeweler. Even better we cover replacement up to 125% of the piece’s appraised value with no deductibles. So you don’t have to worry about paying extra out of your pocket when making a claim.

Note that only BriteCo gives you an authenticated digital appraisal through your local jeweler, automatic insurance value updates annually, and meaningful preventative maintenance and wear and tear coverage. Plus, there’s no deductible for coverage, unless you have an Agreed Value policy. These are policies that will pay out an agreed dollar amount should a claim ever be made and typically include a deductible amount.

We provide worldwide coverage for just about everything you can imagine. Loss, theft, damage, and mysterious disappearance. Those are the basics you should expect. BriteCo goes further with 125% of appraisal value replacement coverage, zero deductibles and a monthly pay option. Oh, and you can add a fiance or spouse to your policy coverage at no extra charge.

＋ Do I need to provide any documentation to purchase a policy?
Yes. When you are getting your policy through our convenient online app you will be asked to provide a copy/photo of your item’s appraisal provided by the jeweler where you purchased the item. If you don’t have the appraisal handy (a good quality photo of the doc will suffice) you can add it later.
You will also need to take a photo (use your smartphone) of the item(s) you are insuring with us. You can do it right in the insurance quote app.
＋ How do I upload my appraisal?
After purchasing a BriteCo policy, you’ll be prompted to upload an appraisal. Please keep in mind these need to be recent documents - within the last three years. Uploading the appraisal couldn’t be easier. Either upload the document directly from your computer or cell phone, or just simply snap a clear photo of the document with your phone camera.
If you can’t upload the appraisal immediately, we’ll send you email reminders with a link to upload your document. If you don’t see the email please check your SPAM or promotional folders. Once you locate the email, simply click the link and follow the instructions.
＋ How do I upload my photos?
After purchasing a BriteCo policy, you’ll be prompted to upload a photo of your item(s). Snapping a photo is extremely easy. Note, you’ll want to take your photo from your cell phone. After clicking the link, you’ll be prompted to take a picture of your piece. From there, the app will automatically open your camera and allow you to capture the photo. Please make sure to take a clear, well lighted photo of each item you are insuring.
If you don’t upload a photo immediately, we’ll send you email reminders with a link to upload your photo(s). If you don’t see the email please check your SPAM or promotional folders. You’ll want to complete this step of the process from your cell phone. Once you locate the email, simply click the link and follow the instructions.
＋ Do you offer annual or monthly pay options?
We offer both annual and monthly pay options using a major credit or debit card. If you choose to pay annually we throw in a 5% discount on your policy price. To date, we’re the only specialized jewelry insurance company to give you the monthly pay option.
＋ How do I file a claim?
Filing a claim is easy and only takes a few minutes. Simply click this link and follow the prompts. Most claims can be made in just a few minutes online. We’ll follow up with you right away to make sure you get a repair or replacement promptly.
＋ What does a replacement only policy mean?
A BriteCo policy is a replacement only policy. There is no cash out option when filing a BriteCo claim. That means we will work with your preferred jeweler to replace the item with like kind and quality. BriteCo makes it extremely easy to replace your item upon a loss, theft, or disappearance. We also work directly with your jeweler of choice upon damage to make sure your item(s) is repaired quickly and properly.
＋ How does the claims process work?
BriteCo’s claims process is quick and easy. After reviewing and approving your claim, you instruct us which jeweler you would like to use to replace your item. We always encourage you to return to your local jewelry store. If you don’t have a preferred jeweler, we have a vast network of jewelry stores we work with that we can recommend. Once selecting your jeweler, we’ll notify them of the claim and the details. You can then work directly with your own jeweler to replace the item.
